Summer Engineering Teaching Institute
The Summer Engineering Teaching Institute will assist California community college engineering faculty in developing a Tablet-PC-enhanced interactive model of engineering instruction, and increase their involvement in developing and implementing online courses using CCC Confer—a videoconferencing platform that is available free of charge to all faculty and staff of the California Community College system. For the first year of the program, 30 California engineering faculty will be selected to participate, 10 from Southern California, and 20 from Northern California.
Eligibility:
Full-time or adjunct Engineering, Physics, or Math faculty teaching at least one course in a California Community College in Fall 2012

Joint Engineering Programs
CALSTEP will also develop partnerships with community colleges currently without an engineering program to align community college engineering programs throughout the state, and to design and implement a Joint Engineering Program that is delivered through CCC Confer.

Full-time or adjunct Engineering faculty teaching at least one course in a California Community College in Fall 2012
