Step 2: Assess Your Fitness Level
Before setting realistic fitness goals or designing a practical fitness program it is essential to evaluate your current fitness level. A fitness assessment provides data concerning your fitness strengths and weaknesses. Data from your first assessment is the beginning benchmark from which future evaluations are compared. Periodic re-testing (every 4-6 weeks) is both motivational feedback and an indicator whether your program is working or needs adjusting.
