Meet Our Students:
Renata Horvath from Hungary
My name is Renata Horvath and I am an international student from Hungary. As an art major, my goal is to transfer to San Jose State University or San Francisco State University in 2013. In May of 2011, I was awarded the Elmer Buckthal Art Certificate of Achievement Award and presented with a scholarship. It was an honor to receive this prestigious award and I am grateful for the support that I have received from the faculty and staff at Cañada. Here at Cañada, you can find people with the same interests who are willing to share their time and knowledge which has made it easier for me to feel comfortable with the college life.
Darwin Silva from Uruguay
Being a student at Cañada College is definitely a dream come true for me. Cañada opened a whole new window of opportunity for me not only as a student but also as an individual. This school gave me back the chance of pursuing my higher education here in the United States, something that I considered impossible once I finished high school in my homeland of Uruguay. After completing my general education courses at Cañada, I plan on transferring to a four-year university to study International Relations. I am proud of being a student at Cañada College. All of the faculty and staff have done an amazing job in terms of helping me on my transition as an international student into the American college system.
