How We Can Help

The Guided Pathways Peer Mentorship Program is designed to support students in their educational endeavors. Mentees will receive support and services from mentors and student leaders on campus, faculty and staff, as well as participate in campus events and organizations that will aid in enriching their overall college experience.

 

Start Strong

 

Peer mentorship is provided to students transitioning into their first year at Cañada to build their academic toolkit for success.

Stay Strong

 

As students continue with their college education, peer mentorship is provided to encourage students to persist with their education, motivate them to continue to excel academically in order to reach their transfer and graduation objective.

Finish Strong

 

Peer mentorship is provided to support students who are transfer-ready and can help them prepare to be academically successful at a 4-year university.

 

Assistance we provide to mentees:

  • Provide one-on-one peer support as part of Interest Area Success Teams
  • Share referrals to support resources on campus
  • Keep mentees informed on important college deadlines and processes
  • Help mentees develop college success strategies
  • Provide base of support to mentees as they navigate the learning path
