Notre Dame de Namur to Offer Human Resource Management Certificate at Cañada

Instructors will address best practices in this demanding field.

This certificate program offered by the School of Business and Management addresses the "best practices" in this demanding field! The program is taught over four Saturdays, a format that has been very successful for working individuals.

The program is designed to broaden your knowledge base, update you on vital information, and train you in key areas of human resources. The instructors have designed and implemented human resource programs for both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. The content includes:

• decreasing operational costs

• increasing organizational effectiveness

• understanding the principles of performance management

• managing within the law

Instructors have extensive teaching and course development experience in areas such as Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Communication in Organizations, Diversity, Recruitment & Selection, Labor Relations, Supervision, Ethics in Business, Employment Law, Motivation and Productivity, Performance Management, Development of Innovation & Creativity in Organizations, Critical Thinking, and Conflict Management. There are no prerequisites for this certificate course and you do not need to be a student at NDNU.

International Human Resource Management Certificate (optional supplement): Students have the option of registering for an additional 2 sessions to receive an International Human Resource Management Certificate. This program will provide an overview of international human resource management concepts and recent developments in the field, and will discuss identification and understanding of basic cultural concepts critical to managing performance and creating organizational efficiency.

HR Management Certificate: July 9, 16, and August 6, 13, 2011 at NDNU

International HR Management Certificate: September 10 and 17, 2011 at NDNU

HR Management Certificate: July 23, 30 and August 20, 27, 2011 at Cañada College

International HR Management Certificate: September 24 and Oct 1, 2011 at Cañada College
