Science, Math Engineering Students, Learn How to Get a Free Laptop
Become a MESA California Connects Ambassador.

Are you majoring in math, science or engineering at Cañada College? Do you enjoy helping people learn how to use the Internet in new ways? Could you use a new, free HP laptop loaded with Microsoft Office, wireless connectivity and broadband Internet access? Become a MESA California Connects Ambassador!
What you give:
- 12 hours of your time (in one year) to provide encouragement, examples and information to family members, Cañada students and others so they learn new ways to use the Internet for education, finance or health.
What you get:
- A free, new HP laptop with wireless connectivity - you keep the laptop forever.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Free broadband Internet access (free for a year).
- On-line, self-paced training to learn ways to help others make use of helpful Internet-based resources for people who are not as Internet-savvy as you.
- Microsoft training and certification - earn one or more certifications of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint.
- A certificate for having served as a MESA California Connected Ambassador.
- Fantastic new experiences to add to your resume.
- Satisfaction of helping family, friends and community members learn new ways to use the Internet.
The Cañada College MESA Program will hold four information sessions to discuss the program. They'll be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 2:15 p.m.; Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. or 2:15 p.m.; or Friday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. All meetings will be held in Building 9, Room 251A.
