Scholarships Available for the 2010-11 Academic Year

Application deadline is March 2

Would you like to pay for college with a scholarship? Cañada College has a variety of scholarships available for the 2010-11 academic year. The application deadline is Tuesday, March 2 at 4 p.m. The annual Scholarship Awards Reception is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 7.

The application and list of tentative scholarship awards will be posted to the financial aid website under “scholarships” later this week.

Minimum eligibility requirements to be considered for one of the many Cañada College scholarships:

• Scholarship applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or better. Applicants who only have in-progress units should submit their most recent grades either from high school or their last-attended college as evidence.
• Scholarship applicants must complete at least 12.0 units at Cañada College by June 2010. In-progress units at Cañada College for Spring 2010 will be counted towards this requirement. If selected for a scholarship, the applicant must have at least 12.0 units completed prior to receiving scholarship funds.

Hard copies of the application packet are available in the Financial Aid Office, Building 9, Room 109.
