Colts Start Baseball Playoffs in Sacramento

Series opens Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Cañada College will open the state baseball playoffs against perennial power Sacramento City College on Friday at 3 p.m. The series will continue on Saturday at 11 a.m. and, if necessary, a third and final game will be played at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The Colts are the 14th-seed in the playoffs while Sac City is the No. 2 seed. Despite being underdogs, the Colts enter the series with a load of talent. Twelve members of the team were selected for Coast North All-Conference recognition. Wade Reynoso, Max Kautz and Dan Camou were unanimous First Team Coast North All-Conference choices. Joining them on the First Team were infielder Kenny Turner and pitcher Corey Zirbes. For more information visit the baseball web site.
