From Hip-Hop to Waltz, We Can Teach You to Dance
Cañada Students Get Their Groove On From Rumba to Salsa to Waltz.
Do you need some pointers to help you get your hip-hop groove on or are you ready for Dancing With The Stars but need to practice your Rumba? Either way, Cañada College has the dance class for you.
Cañada is introducing a new intermediate/advanced ballroom dance class this fall that will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:35 p.m. in the campus dance studio. Instructor Ana Miladinova has taught ballroom dance at several professional dance studios and will teach students the Rumba, Cha-Cha, Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, and other Latin and ballroom dances. To register, go to WebSMART and register for Dance 680cc.
If Hip-Hop, Salsa, Modern or Jazz is more your style, try the dance production class. You can even invite your friends and family to watch you perform at the end of the semester. "No dance experience is necessary and we encourage students to choreograph their own dance numbers or I can help them," said Miladinova. The class is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. in the dance studio. To register, go to WebSMART and register for Dance 400. Both classes can transfer as a physical education credit. For more information, contact Ana Miladinova at (650) 306-3147 or e-mail miladinovaa@smccd.edu.
