Third lecture in the CaƱada College Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Lecture Series
The third lecture in this year's Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Lecture Series will be held Monday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. in Building 3, Room 148. Music Professor David Meckler will examine contemporary trends in new music. The lecture will include ideas from George Steiner's essay "On Difficulty," music by Brian Ferneyhough, a poem, "Where Shall I Wander," by John Ashbery, and Meckler's own hard, but no-so-difficult, music. The lecture is free and open to the public.
