Palo Alto Rotary Club Offers Scholarships for Vocational Students

Up to 15 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 will be awarded.

Students enrolled in a vocational program or planning to enroll in a vocational program next fall are encouraged to apply for the 2008-09 Rotary Club of Palo Alto Vocational Scholarship. The scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in a program leading to a certificate or degree in a vocational field. These scholarships are not intended for general academic pursuits, for students intending to transfer to a four-year college, or for graduate degrees.

Up to 15 scholarships will be awarded in amounts varying from $1,000 to $1,500. The award will be paid to the student upon confirmation of enrollment. Eligible applicants include high school seniors who will graduate in June, 2008 and will enroll in a vocational program in the fall of 2008; students currently enrolled in an accredited vocational program that plan to continue in that program in the fall of 2008; and returning students with high school degrees who want to pursue a vocational education.

Information about the scholarships is available here. Last year, several CaƱada students were selected for $1,500 awards.
