The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Stage Dec. 3-5

Notre Dame de Namur University's Department of Music and Vocal Arts is producing the popular musical.

Spelling Bee

The popular one-act musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" will be performed by students in the Notre Dame de Namur University Department of Music and Vocal Arts Dec. 3-5 in the Flex Theater.

The show centers around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally-quirky grown-ups. It was a Tony-winning musical on Broadway.

The show will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3-4 and a special matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Dec. 5. General admission is $20 and $15 for students and seniors. For ticket information call (650) 508-3729 or e-mail concerts@ndnu.edu.
