Campus Toy Drive to Benefit Underprivileged Children
Choose a name from the Giving Tree in the Learning Center and bring a present on Dec. 10.
Students at Cañada College want to make sure every child in San Mateo County receives a present this holiday season. The school's honor society is organizing a toy drive featuring a Giving Tree. The tree is located at the front of the Learning Center on the second floor of Building 9. It is decorated with cards shaped as stockings. Each card has the name and age of a child and what they want for Christmas.
"These children are underprivileged and getting a gift from Santa this year will make all the difference," said Professor Paul Roscelli, the group's advisor. After purchasing the gift, simply hand the form and the gift to the Learning Center front desk and specify that it is for the Phi Theta Kappa Giving Tree. Students will be delivering presents on Friday, Dec. 10.
