Women's Golf Team Caps Successful Season

Two golfers named to all-conference team.

Sophomore Kimberly Bedolla and freshman Samantha Kang were named to the Central Valley All-Conference team and paced the Cañada College women's golf team to a second place finish behind Fresno City College. Kang missed being the top golfer in the conference by a cumulative total of just four strokes.

Bedolla and Kang qualified for the state championships by virtue of strong finishes at the Nor Cal Championships. Kang finished second at the three-day event by winning a playoff hole and Bedolla finished tied for tenth. The state championships will be held Nov. 11-13 at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno. This is the second consecutive year that Cañada has qualified golfers for the state championships.

The Cañada women's golf team has golfers from Union City, Fremont, Redwood City, Santa Clara County and Ogden Utah. They will continue to recruit golfers for next season.
