Performing artists, dancers, and Chinese food are part of the free event.
Cañada College will kickoff the Year of the Tiger with a special Chinese New Year celebration on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. There will be performances by Leung's White Crane Lion Dancers, The Chinese Performing Artists of America - The Flying Apsaras, and students can enjoy a hands-on silk ribbon dance demonstration. Chinese food will be catered by Yang Sing and Oceanic. The celebration will be held on the Amphitheater Stage unless it is raining and then it will be relocated to the Main Theater stage.
