Scheduling your class
Please register at Google calendar if you would like to schedule your classes in the Reading/Writing lab. If you don’t register, you’ll have to email Anniqua Rana (firstname.lastname@example.org) to add your classes to the schedule. Please remember the Lab should not be used to replace your regular classroom.
When you schedule your class, please include the following:
- Your last name
- Class number
- Beginning and ending time (Lab time: 8:00 am till 8:00 pm)
If you have problems scheduling your class, please let me know.
You can add or delete your classes on this calendar on a first-come-first-served basis. If the Lab is already booked at your desired time, there are three other options in the Building 9:
1. Learning Center front lab 2. Learning Center Mac lab 3. Library Lab
Working in the Lab
You can ask for the key (FOB) for this room (9-206) from the information desk. Markers and erasers will be available-but please bring your own just in case. Students will be able to print but make sure it is limited. Students MUST bring their own USB (flash) drives to save their work. Keep the door open while you are in class, or you will have to keep opening it for students to enter. Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed on all the computers in the Learning Center. Students should make sure they save their work as Word 97-2003 if they don’t have the new version at home.
NO DRINKS OR FOOD ALLOWED.
Before leaving the lab
- Shut down all the computers
- Organize the room and erase the whiteboard
Even though your students might not want to leave, make sure all students have left the room before you shut the door.
