To establish note-taking services, arrange an appointment with the DSP&S Director by calling 306.3259
Note-taking services will only be provided to a student who has a
verified disability and whose disability-related functional limitations
prevent the student from taking his/her own notes.
Note-taking services are designed to provide assistance to students with disabilities in the classroom.
The DSP&S office will provide the student with duplicate note-taking paper (NCR) for each approved class, or make arrangements to have photocopies provided.
Students are required to be in class to receive notes from that day unless the absence was disability-related.
Students needing these services are requested to either: a. Ask a fellow student in their classes to assist them. b. Ask the instructor to announce the need for a note-taker in class.
The DSP&S office will assign a note-taker for individuals who are physically unable to take notes or to complete in-class assignments.
It is the student's responsibility to notify DSP&S and the professor of the absence as soon as possible so the note-taker can be notified of the cancellation.
The student is responsible for informing the DSP&S office whenever changes occur that effect the student's need for note-taking services.
