Registration Assistance

Academic Advising and Pre-registration Avising

DSP&S can provide academic and pre-registration advising to assist students with their schedules. It is recommended that students see the DSP&S Director as soon as the schedule comes out in fall and spring; students are encouraged to schedule an appointment at least twice per semester. During those appoinments, the student and the DSP&S Director can discuss and determine reasonable accommodations. Please remember we are here to help you succeed and do well in your academic career at Cañada College.

Priority Registration

Students with disabilities are encouraged to take advantage of priority registration. In order to obtain priority registration, a student must be enrolled at Cañada for at least one semester, registered with the Disability Resource Center and have verification of a disability on file. Students are encouraged to meet with the DSP&S Director to have pre-registration advising of classes prior to priority registration.
