If you are interested in offering a safe, stable, and nurturing home for children (newborn to 21 years of age) suffering from, or at risk of, abuse or neglect, your first step is to connect with the San Mateo County Human Services Agency.

San Mateo County Foster/Adoption/Kinship Care Family Gatherings

Gatherings for foster families with teens:

• Meet at 6:30pm on the second Monday of each month
• Dinner included, no childcare

Gatherings for New RFA Families 

These meetings are for NEW RFA families or those waiting for a new or first placement:

• Meet at 6:30 on the second Wednesday of the month
• Dinner and childcare are provided

Caregivers & the Courts

AdvoKids – a legal resource for California foster children and their advocates. AdvoKids provides direct legal assistance, support and education to foster children and their advocates, including lawyers, CASA volunteers, FFAs, social workers, mental health providers, and foster and adoptive parents.
