Latino Thought Makers Virtual Event featuring Actor/Comedian Francisco Ramos

Please join the Cañada College community for a presentation by Latino Thought Makers, a platform that provides a respectful and inclusive safe-space for educational discussions about all social, racial, and cultural issues with knowledgeable and highly-esteemed guest speakers.  The featured guest is Actor/Comedian Francisco Ramos.  Latino Thought Makers is and has been at the forefront of social progress for America’s Latino community since 2014.  By teaching, inspiring, and presenting a new perspective on Latinos and other minorities, Latino Thought Makers aims to shine light on the Latino community’s strength as part of the solution.

The Associated Students of Cañada College is hosting their semester tradition of Club Rush! This semester’s theme is “Space Concert!” Join us for some music and meet all of our college clubs. The first 50 Cañadians to participate throughout the event and submit a post-event survey will receive free wireless/bluetooth mic headphones!

Activism and Change in 2020

What does activism mean to you? How does your understanding of social justice inform your activism? Do we live in a better world compared to May 2020? Professors Terzakis, Eck, Ware, and Smith will discuss some of the social upheavals that have occurred in 2020. Much of the conversation will focus on student submitted questions related to social justice and activism in 2020. We invite participants to complete a Pre-Meeting Survey by September 11.
