Thanksgiving Holiday Campus Hours on Nov. 22, 2017

Thu, 16 November, 2017 at 11:13 am

Dear Campus Community,

As we prepare for the end of the fall semester, the Thanksgiving holiday break is a wonderful time to pause and reflect.  Our students, faculty and staff have worked hard this semester, and the fruits of that hard work are about to be realized.

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time where we gather with our family and friends.  It’s important to remember that Cañada College is part of your family as well.  We study together, teach together, support each other in times of need, agree and disagree with one another.  We depend on one another to achieve our shared mission and to do so with civility and collegiality.  We’re thankful for the good work that we do, helping our students to change their lives and achieve their dreams.  I want to extend my personal thanks to all of you for all of the good work that you do.

In preparation for the upcoming Thanksgiving Recess, I wanted to share that the following departments will be closed or hold reduced hours on Wednesday, November 22:

Close at 2 p.m.
  • Bookstore
  • Pony Espresso

Close at 4:30 p.m.

Please note that Wednesday, November 22 is an instructional day and classes will resume as scheduled. The campus will be closed for Thanksgiving Recess November 23-26 and will resume classes/regular business hours on Monday, November 27.  We have a lot to be thankful for; and it’s important to remember the good.  Be safe and enjoy the Thanksgiving break with your family and friends.

I wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Sincerely,
Jamillah Moore, Ed.D.
