PDPC Year-End Highlights
- Student Voice in Professional Development Expanded
This year included a successful student-led Flex session, strengthening opportunities
for faculty and staff to learn directly from students and centering student perspectives
in campus conversations.
- Greater Equity and Classified Engagement
PDPC continued building more inclusive professional development opportunities, including
stronger outreach to classified professionals, Building 1 staff, veterans-focused
planning, and the growing work of the Colegas group.
- Leadership and Collaboration Through “Leading from the Middle” - Testimonials
The committee continued developing collaborative leadership practices across campus,
focusing on equity, relationship-building, and creating meaningful professional learning
communities.
- Innovative Flex Day Programming and New Initiatives
Flex Day sessions expanded to include topics such as authentic assessment in the age
of AI, online equity and access, ZTC pathways, shared governance participation, and
the new semester-long “Flexi” professional development pilot.
- Strong Cross-Campus Collaboration and Community Building
Faculty, classified professionals, administrators, student representatives, and coordinators
worked together to shape professional development around the emerging theme of “Learning
Together,” emphasizing connection, support, and shared growth across the college.
