Library instruction sessions
Faculty can request library instruction sessions for your classes. Sessions can range from a brief 15-minute overview of library resources to 90-minute custom-tailored workshops related to your class or specific assignment. In order to give librarians enough time to prepare we request that you schedule a library session as early as possible in the semester, but at least two weeks in advance.
Textbooks
The library has a large collection of reserve textbooks. Our reserve collection is searchable through our catalog. Faculty can request textbooks for purchase. Note that funding is limited. The library has one high-speed books scanner and two flat bed scanners for student use
Adding physical inventory to Library system
Interested in adding physical inventory from your department or program the Library's check out system for tracking/inventory purposes? The library can help! Library staff can add your technology inventory to Alma, the Library inventory and loan system, in order to help you manage your technology inventory, and control borrowing to eligible students. The Library system manages item inventory and availability, loan due dates, and users. Alma automatically notifies students by email to remind them that items are due soon or are past due in order to help you recover items owned by your department or program.
Films for use in courses
The Library has a collection of DVDs for instructors to check out as well as multiple streaming film and video for colleges subscriptions.
Circulating book requests
Request that the Library purchase a book for our circulating collection.
Requesting specific software
Due to licensing restrictions, library staff cannot add customized software packages to district or personal laptops. Students: If you need specific software for your classes, please work with your instructor to get needed software installation approval. Faculty: Please work with department head/division dean in order to get approval on behalf of student for license use so ITS can handle installation of software.
