General Office Certificate of Achievement
- General Office Certificate of Achievement with Sequoia Adult School
Earn College Credit for completing “Word Processing & Presentation Tools Class” at Sequoia Adult School and earn college credit for CBOT 472 - Beginning Word Processing!
- Get a head start fulfilling requirements for General Office Certificate
- The General Office certificate program prepares students for employment as entry-level general office clerks in a variety of business settings as support staff.
- This program gives an entry-level employee the solid foundational skills needed in an office.
- This program increases students' efficiency, speed and accuracy in typing while increasing technical skills and confidence in a variety of software.
- Students are also introduced to organizational behavior and interpersonal skills.
Business Information Worker Certificate Program
The Business Information Worker Certificate Program at Cañada College Menlo Park:
- 2 semester, 7.5 unit certificate program
- Classes held at 1200 O’Brien Drive Menlo Park, CA 94021 (JobTrain Building)
Program Summary
The Business Information Worker (BIW) program helps students build the computer and office skills needed to start a career in business, administration, or customer service. Students learn to use tools like Microsoft Word and Excel, strengthen their communication skills, and gain hands-on experience to prepare for real-world jobs. After completing the BIW certificate, students can stack it with additional certificates or continue on a pathway toward a business degree at Cañada College.
This program supports Cañada College's mission to provide equitable access to education by offering career-focused training directly in Menlo Park. It is designed to serve the needs of students from Menlo Park, East Palo Alto, and surrounding communities - making college and career pathways more accessible to all.
