Food Distribution

The FREE Outdoor Food Distribution at Cañada College serves students and community members. Drive up, park and shop for your own food from a wide variety of items.
No appointment is needed.

Except on college holidays and winter break:
- Tuesday: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunity: Food Distribution
Food distribution is a great chance for volunteers to interface with clients and help build a resilient community. Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks at our outdoor, Farmers Market-style food distribution.
Duties may include:
- Setting up tables and food displays
- Unloading and moving food from pallets (up to 25lbs)
- Sorting and bagging frozen meat items
- Greeting and checking in clients
- Assisting with food selection
- Cleaning up and handling recycling/compost
Requirements
- Comfortable with physical activity (bending, lifting, carrying)
- Able to work outdoors
- Respectful, compassionate, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Open to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Study Snacks
Sometimes students need just a quick snack. Grab a Study Snack along the way for a quick boost of energy!
