Here are some steps you can take to begin teaching online or hybrid courses at Cañada:
Find out more about Distance Education (DE) at Cañada.
- Discuss distance education course offerings with your division dean.
- Schedule a meeting with the Distance Education Coordinator: (currently vacant, will be updated fall 2019)
- Read the Distance Education Faculty Handbook and review the DE Faculty Checklist (you'll be asked to sign this before teaching DE courses).
Complete the Cañada QOLT Work Group training course.
The QOLT Work Group is Cañada's online and hybrid certification course. The course is offered once during each semester and takes place 100% online in Canvas in order to give you a student's perspective of online learning as well as the faculty perspective.
