Learn by doing—apply the tools and motivational strategies needed for lifelong physical fitness. Our self-paced classes explore components of fitness, fitness assessment, training principles, fitness program design, and fitness/wellness goal setting.
Beginner through advanced level students—the Cañada College Fitness Center Staff looks forward to helping you gain the skills needed to develop a personal lifelong fitness program.
Beginning Summer 2012, high school students must be at least a high school junior or senior to enroll in the following courses: FITN 112, 117, 118, 119. All other Fitness/Dance courses are open to all students.

Is sleep that important? YES!
Exercise and a sensible diet are not the only components of a healthy life style. If you are not getting 7 -9 hours of sleep at night you may be doing long term damage to your body. Research indicates that lack of sleep can lead to diabetes, heart disease as well as increased body fat. At this year’s TEDMED conference medical experts agreed that too little sleep is one of our nation’s “biggest health-care challenges.” So put down that new iPad, close your eyes and dream about a great workout in the Fitness Center.
