New Student

Follow our Steps to Success, and Shape your Future Today!

  1. Apply and Enroll

New and returning students who have not taken a class within the San Mateo County Community College District for one or more years must complete the online admission application. You will need to choose an Interest Area as part of the enrollment process. Explore our Interest Areas and find what’s right for you!

  3. Attend New Student Orientation

Orientation provides an overview of Cañada's programs and services. You will also learn how to register for classes.

  4. Complete Placement 

Cañada College will help you find the English, Math, and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses that will maximize your success.

  5. Meet with an Academic Counselor

The academic counseling team will help you choose the right classes to meet your educational goal.

  6. Register for Classes and Pay Fees

Look up available classes on Webschedule, then sign up for your classes on WebSMART.
