Star Parties

The Astronomy Department, in conjunction with student clubs hosts a Star Party once a semester. This event is open to both the campus community and the public at large. Activities usually involve telescope observations, free food, costumes, fun games, and occasionally an astronomy presentation.

Star parties in the fall semester are usually scheduled for mid-to-late October, and in the spring mid-to-late April.

The next Star Party is aimed for April 10th, 2026. Please check the events calendar for updates.

Update: Due to unfavorable weather forecasts the Star Party is postponed to April 24th, 2026.
