PCC Clinical Internships
Personal Counseling Center Clinical Internship
The Cañada College Personal Counseling Center provides short term therapy, groups,
and case management to the registered students of the college. Cañada College has
been identified by the US education Department as a Latino serving institution and
serves many first-generation.
Latino college students. Our center also serves a diverse student population including
middle eastern, working adults, English learners, and International students. We provide
treatment for a variety of presentations. We provide training in a variety training
modality such as CBT, brief therapy, trauma-informed treatment, and developmentally
respectful approaches.
PLACEMENT OPENINGS (4): Our placement for the 2024-2025 academic year is available during the Fall and Spring
semester.
The clinical placement is open to M.F.T. trainees, MFT associates, LPCC and Ph.D/Psy.D
practicum trainees.
+ Minimum 19 hours per week up to 24 hours
+ Schedule days are Monday – Thursday with Wednesday morning required.
+ Both individual and group supervision provided
+ Supportive learning environment and gain experience providing mental health services
in a college setting.
